LIAT (LI) Cheapest Flight Deals

No, we’re not yelling at you with the all-capitalized “LIAT” – that’s just the acronym for Leeward Islands Air Transport. They are headquartered on the grounds of V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU) in Antigua about 5 miles from St. John. LIAT was founded in 1956, but with an acquisition of nearly 75% of the airline by BWIA in 1957, they were able to expand to other Caribbean destinations and obtain new aircraft types.

Today you have LIAT who is considered “THE Caribbean Airline.” (That also happens to be their motto – and again, we’re not yelling at you with the call capitalized “THE” – that’s all them!) You can also find many flights to Antigua from airports in the Caribbean as well as London, New York City, Canada and Miami.

LIAT has many round trips to 21 destinations in the Caribbean. Their hubs include the already mentioned Antigua (ANU), Barbados (BGI) and Trinidad (POS). You can find Caribbean travel advice and start comparing fares now with FareCompare.
